Ceremonial

The Air Training Corps has a long history, all of it associated with the RAF and hence the corps has a strong ceremonial element, as do most military organisations.

The squadron itself may take part in quite a few ceremonial occasions throughout the year, consisting mainly of parades on Remembrance and Battle Of Britain Sundays, as well as carrying out duties of Guards of Honour on special civic occasions.

The ceremonial part of cadets life allows the squadron to show its discipline and dedication to a wider audience, mainly the people of the local town. Doing this not only brings praise and thanks to the cadets and staff who provide such displays, but also draws in new cadets and staff - both of which are always welcome!
