This page will introduce you to the staff and instructors who do all the training and administration on the squadron, as well as introducing some of the cadets who hold a rank on the squadron.
Uniformed staff have a RAFVR(T) [Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve (Training)] commission and are as the title suggests, commissioned officers in the reserve force of the RAF. They are unpaid and their role on the squadron is the provision of adequate training and activities for the cadets, as well as doing other administrative duties.
Civilian instructors have various duties, mainly consisting of organising the training programme to instruct the cadets in various aviation subjects. They often teach the subjects themselves and are also unpaid volunteers.
The squadron senior NCO's are a team of cadets awarded ranks by the squadron commander as he or she sees fit. They are responsible for assisting with the general running of the squadron and also organising the cadets and taking care of the disciplinary aspect of a parade night.
The links on the left will take you to some dodgy looking mugshots of all our staff and SNCO's, so go and have a look at who you would be parading with!
